ICUP #4 Sherwood Hills

10 May

I haven’t been to Sherwood Hills for a race in about 12 years or so.  I had completely forgotten what a fantastic venue it is with nearly the entire race on wooded single track.  I also debuted the new CarboRocket tent and single serve packs.

IMG_3795 The Jabberwocky matches perfectly!

IMG_3796 KiwiLime available now and other flavors in next week.

Bob and Tim took it out hard.  So hard they had me wheezing and hacking for nearly half of the first lap.  I thought I might die.   The course didn’t have any long climbs to break things up nor any downhill sections long enough to recover.  It was pedal, pedal, pedal.  By the end of the race riders were in full on survival mode with a lot of normally fast guys limping it to the finish.

IMG_3802 Too tired to hold our heads up and Bob got a little verklempt that #3 didn’t show for the podium.  It’s OK, Bob.

Congratulations and thanks for the support to all the racers from beginner to Pro that were drinking CarboRocket.

Happy Mother’s day Momma Keyes and Tasha.  I love you both.  More on Mother’s Day later.

Coming down the pike.  Single serve packs of newly formulated CarboRocket.  5 flavors with newly added Tropical Orange and Lemon Lime.

Don’t worry, the old formula that you know and love is still in place but has some added calcium, magnesium, potassium and glutamine.  BTW, the Tropical Orange totally kicks ass, my new fave.  De-freakin-lish!

Be patient,  it’s still a few weeks away but you’re going to love it.

Blast Off

15 Sep

I wish I could say I created this cool little animation but I can’t even send a text message and am barely able to post a picture to my blog.

Thanks go to Thom over at Chainring.tv for putting it together. Make sure and stop by his site for your daily dose of cycling related videos and soon to be weekly competition.

Of course, feel free to disseminate the CarboRocket blast off far and wide.

New Sweet Sweetness

3 Sep

Aren’t they lovely?. No, not the well merchandised shelves but the new CarboRocket labels and flavor. I can’t stop looking.

Raspberry Lemonade is the new flavor and it’s my favorite of the three. I’ve shipped out a bunch already and have more ready to go. It is currently in stock at Revolution and SLC Bicycle and I’m planning a trip to Racer’s.

If you want to get it in stock at your favorite shop let me know who they are and I’ll take it from there.

Thanks for all the support and drink up.

CarboRocket

16 Jul

I’d always hoped people would like CarboRocket as much as I do but I never thought demand would exceed production. It’s a good problem to have.

I must apologize to all the CarboRocket fans out there for not being able keep it on the shelves at the local shops. I have been hoarding what I have to fulfill online orders.

I will be getting new product in by week end and should have it out on shelves by Monday. If you can’t wait until then I do have enough product, I think, to handle any online orders until the new shipment comes in.

Thanks for your support and keep your eyes open for the new Raspberry Lemonade flavor which is out of this world tasty and a bit tart, the best yet.

Product Testers Needed

30 Jun

I’ve got a boatload of the new recovery drink and I need some able bodied product testers. I will be at the Solitude race tomorrow night from 5:30 until after the race and most likely I will be at the Soldier Hollow race on Wednesday also from 5:30 on.

If you happen to miss the Tuesday and Wednesday product testing I plan on attending the State Championships at Solitude on Saturday.

If you were on the fence and not sure about racing I hope this post pushes you off the fence (post…off the fence, oh, I kill myself). The only requirement to become a product tester is to have raced so make sure you sign up and enjoy the suffer fest.

Of course, I will also be supplying CarboRocket free of charge so bring your empty water bottles.

Good Luck!

CarboRocket Launch

26 Mar

I spent most of yesterday working out last minute kinks and having Dug (first online order) and Elden do a test run of online purchasing, shipping options, refunds, etc. Sure enough they found a kink. For some reason the online ordering system works great on every browser except Internet Explorer. So, if you can’t get through with IE use Firefox or another browser.

I’ve got all-natural mango flavor ready to ship. Also, Me and Kenny tested out a new kiwi-lime flavor in Moab on Saturday and have decided to add it to the lineup, it should be available next week.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an order waiting for me last night from Bob Saffel as I had just barely finished working out the kinks and going live. Bob is the very first unsolicited online customer. Thanks, Bob. The award for first paying customer however, goes to Jamie Pogue who couldn’t wait for me to learn HTML. Thanks, Jamie.

I’ve been working on CarboRocket since last July and I’m very pleased with the results. I have yet to experience any cramps or upset stomach while using it. Doing a monster ride like the Rim Ride this early in the season is guaranteed cramps for me but I didn’t get any on Saturday. I hope you like it as much as I do.

For more information or to place an order check out the website here. Thanks!
